Illinois is the fifth most populous state in the United States of America and mostly has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cool to cold winters.
Illinois has numerous museums including the largest presidential library in America, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Chicago's museums are considered some of the best in the world, including the John G. Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry. For a less academic experience, Metropolis has an array of Superman memorabilia at the The Super Museum.
Attractions in Illinois are plentiful and varied. It is a leader in music education and home to the IMEA: Illinois Music Educators Association. The Alto Vineyards are situated in the foothills of the Shawnee National forest in Southern Illinois and are just one of Illinois celebrated vineyards. Sports are a favourite pastime here and the state houses two Major League Baseball teams, has a long tradition of motor racing as well as many other professional sports.
