Why take professional lessons?

Even though there are many ways to learn to learn a new skill, having a professionally trained or experienced tutor can accelerate learning. Tutors work with you for technique improvement, practice materials and curriculum work as well as provide encouragement and support. When choosing an instructor, consider your own goals, learning style and experience level as well as the tutor's reviews, credentials, experience and specialties to find a good fit.
 

When will I be charged for my lessons?

You won't be charged for your lessons until the completion of your first session. You'll have the option to cancel at this point, and only be billed for the first session, or may not be charged, if the tutor offers a free trial, or to pay for your total lesson packet which reserves your spot with your tutor. This is a great way to ensure you've found the right tutor for you before proceeding with your learning.
 

How many lessons should I take?

Many students take lessons for years; however, it is completely your choice regarding how many lessons to take. We recommend a minimum of 4 lessons to start as this allows you to gain an understanding of whether or not both the tutor and the learning format are right for you. Some tutors offer a single trial lesson at an introductory price point, or even free, although all lesson packets allow you to cancel additional sessions after the first lesson.
 

Which is most effective? 30 or 60 minute lessons?

Some students prefer to meet in shorter, more frequent durations while others favor longer lessons where they are able to dig into content more in depth. If lessons are for children, consider their attention spans in choosing your duration. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide in 30 or 60 minutes is best to meet your needs and schedule.
 

Can I extend my lessons, after my initial booking of lessons?
